That is pretty incriminating proof. You got those two in the act of corrupting your daughter. Although, all those kids are pretty cute, it’d be pretty hard to get any judgment to stick on them, you’d need a tough judge.
Separate from our two camping trips planned for the summer, I have been longing to check out Olympic National Park. It's one of the closest to us and we've never been there. Specifically, I saw this picture and I just wanted to go check it out myself. Sol Duc Hot Springs. In a National Park. With a campground near by. Why in the world have we not checked that out?!? So back when I was planning out grand adventures I suggested that we go there over Memorial Day weekend. Everyone was game. There were plenty of campsites available. That was surprise to me, apparently I was just early enough because now they're completely full. While this trip was just a separate little adventure from our summer gallivanting, it seemed like a good time to practice for the future. I've been packing, double checking my lists and planning. I'm calling this the baby step into our camping summer. We are taking things we might not ...
Perhaps it's the new year but I've been itching to write. And not just any kind of writing, blog posts. Of course now that I'm here, I hardly know what to say. Perhaps we should make a list of the things going on in my head. And if it's too boring, feel free not the read. In fact feel free to unfollow me. Not that I take up too much space, posting every year or so. :) - I like Dr. Pepper. A lot. All of a sudden. It's like a pregnancy craving that comes on with no rhyme or reason. I'm not pregnant. I just really like Dr. Pepper. - Both the kids went down for a nap with no crying. I think the stars aligned. I'm not sure what happened. All I know is they've both been sleeping for over an hour and I've got time to write a blog post. Because I really don't want to get up and clean. - Perhaps it was the HGTV we watched at my in-laws. But we are reorganizing, redecorating and cleaning out this house. We are motivated in a...
It is probably bad enough that I bought whole chickens from Costco because they were a screaming deal. Then, I've cooked them, picked off the meat, cooked them again to create chicken stock which I then froze and to get every possible morsel of meat off that bird. Okay, that's not so bad right? You know you might be taking the "being more green" and "being a better homemaker" thing a bit too far when you are scraping frozen fat off the top of your chicken stock in the muffin tin before removing the rounds to go into a Ziploc freezer bag. O but it gets worse. Yes, it's true. Now, I'd could point out that my stock shouldn't have frozen fat on it because you are supposed to skim off the fat before you freeze it. This is where I admit I stink at skimming fat and you are more than welcome to buy me this . So as I'm standing in my kitchen on a Saturday night with a teaspoon in my hand scraping at the creamy white fat on top of the popsickle ...
