Geek compatable

Wedding coordinators do a lot of stuff. However, wedding coordination for a family member, that's not normal, it's like taking on much more than what normally is required. That's how I found myself editing digital music today. The music guy is finishing school (not to mention doing the wedding as a favor) and the bride has enough going on. So, I'm editing music. (Little ol' me) Free software called WavePad makes it possible. And easy. Because truth be told, I'm no geek. Just geek compatable. You can find it at http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/ Even if no one else is, I'm pretty proud of myself.

Steph and Tigger have a short adventure

Okay, so I'm funny. That's my only explanation for these funny pics. I had just finished making a baby sling for a friend here with a shower tomorrow. I tried it on, was getting it adjusted, trying to figure out if it would fit the friend well. Really, what I needed was a baby. At that thought appeared, so did Tigger purring. A large cat, 15-20 pounds, that's a large baby size. I picked him up and plopped him in. It worked wonderfully. The sling fits so much better with a little weight in it! Of course, Tigger hung out the top and no baby would do that. Tigger purred for a little bit, put up with me taking pictures of myself and then wanted out. He did very well. The sling worked so well I'm going to have to get around and make one for myself. I hope my friend likes it.

I thought we moved to Hillsboro, Oregon, elevation ~ 500 ft.?

Believe it or not (I took pictures so you can believe it) it snowed last night in Hillsboro Oregon. Yes, our elevation is about 500 ft. above sea level. Yes, it is not supposed to snow here. Apparently the weather isn't listening. It was wonderful to wake this morning to see snow. It was a big deal. Anywhere else, they would call it a dusting and go about life. I haven't watched any news, but I'm sure it's the "top story". Myself, I ran outside to get pictures. Currently, a good portion of it has melted off, but little flurries are falling. Just in case you were wondering, "How do their homeowners association clean snow off the sidewalk in a place where they don't usually get snow?" The answer, they use leaf blowers and blow it away. Which leaves the crunched down footprints that will not blow away. At least it kind of looks cool....

Our four-footed friend loses his mind.

There is a reason we got a cat instead of a dog. One of those reasons includes not having a yard. But in general, at the time, a year and a half ago, a cat seemed like a better option. More independent, less maintenance, small, and well, I'm a cat fan. Tigger came into our lives at the right time in the right way and was probably the right cat. Tigger, however, has some dog like characteristics. For example, he's the first to greet guests at the door. He's very interested in shoes. He likes everybody. I thought these were great characteristics in a cat. Until last night. When you leave for four days, you are supposed to be able to leave the cat, alone, in the house, with food, water and a clean litter box. In fact, I even left a radio on for sound. In the past, I'd always had someone stop by and check on him, spend a little human quality time with Tigger. Yes, I do spoil my cat a little. This time, we would treat Tigger like the cat he is and leave him alone. Friends a

Snow

In the land of rain, it is currently snowing. No joke! I feel like I'm back in Idaho. If it sticks I'll take a picture. SNOW!

It's his fault...

Nope, not just the pregnancy, although Mama Terrell says I can say that. This blog is his fault. I'm constantly learning, reading, finding new info, organizations and websites... I should post all this somewhere else for someone to find. I like looking at websites and seeing how they are organized, linked and decorated. He said I should have my own. He said I should blog. This seems like a much better idea than a my space page. Even though my HS friends are creating my space pages... I still feel like I'm too old. But who's too old to blog??? Many thanks to Ragu who first called me Random. I figured that's what this blog will likely be, random.
