Little reader

She's given up on us. We're SO boring. That and she hasn't worn
clothes since this morn. Just a diaper. She apparently thinks that's
just fine today. And I'm going to say a small child running around in
a diaper seems a lot more decent that a toddler running around in just
undies. I guess we'll have to continue the MM bribery!

PS - the kid's hair is getting crazy long!

You would be shocked and appalled at our house then. Jimmy runs around naked half the time, and if he DOES have pants on, you can bet he'll shuck 'em off at the first opportunity. He's a born hippy. :)

I think I was a little loopy when I wrote that. What I was trying to say is that she looks much more dressed in just a gDiaper than in underware. But it's weird for her to run around in a diaper because we've spent a LOT of time running around nakkid, (or from the waist down) in underware trying to get this toliet training underway!

We are having a hard time keeping anything on G too, which makes me NUTS because he is very touchy feely- um with himself... :/ (pun intended?) LOL so undies it is most of the time! I think its cute to just have a g or undies on. We use g's as undies sometimes. no liner or insert. he's all good with it.

Monster Child

I noticed that our dear little girl's clothes were getting tight. As in too small. I had guessed we wouldn't get through all the lovely 0-3 month clothes we had. Most were hand me downs, which made me glad because we didn't even look at a lot of them. Especially since she isn't even two months old yet. So, I went through her drawers and pulled out tons of clothes, rearranged and washed the new 3-6 month clothes I had. The only thing I wondered: Did she weigh enough to fit into those clothes? Or was it just the long torso that was throwing us off. I went to a breastfeeding group yesterday and had the opportunity to weigh her. Fully dressed (so subtract a couple ounces for clothing weight) she weighed... 12 pounds !!! Good grief! In the five weeks since her last doc. appointment she has gained over three pounds. One thing is for sure, I've going to develop buff arms before I know it!

It is probably bad enough that I bought whole chickens from Costco because they were a screaming deal. Then, I've cooked them, picked off the meat, cooked them again to create chicken stock which I then froze and to get every possible morsel of meat off that bird. Okay, that's not so bad right? You know you might be taking the "being more green" and "being a better homemaker" thing a bit too far when you are scraping frozen fat off the top of your chicken stock in the muffin tin before removing the rounds to go into a Ziploc freezer bag. O but it gets worse. Yes, it's true. Now, I'd could point out that my stock shouldn't have frozen fat on it because you are supposed to skim off the fat before you freeze it. This is where I admit I stink at skimming fat and you are more than welcome to buy me this . So as I'm standing in my kitchen on a Saturday night with a teaspoon in my hand scraping at the creamy white fat on top of the popsickle
