Oh Baby, it's Snowing!





The land of rain is receiving snow. It was snowing an hour ago when I measured 2 inches and it's still snowing. It's a winter wonderland! Schools are closed, traffic is messy and the news broadcast has taken over TV programming.
Tigger has enjoyed pouncing in it and hunting snowflakes. I think it's just something else. I've got pictures and will be sure to add them in a bit. I'd say it doesn't feel like Oregon... but then in other places they wouldn't be making such a big deal out of it.
Did I mention that it's really cool! I might have to go build a snowman....

Monster Child

I noticed that our dear little girl's clothes were getting tight. As in too small. I had guessed we wouldn't get through all the lovely 0-3 month clothes we had. Most were hand me downs, which made me glad because we didn't even look at a lot of them. Especially since she isn't even two months old yet. So, I went through her drawers and pulled out tons of clothes, rearranged and washed the new 3-6 month clothes I had. The only thing I wondered: Did she weigh enough to fit into those clothes? Or was it just the long torso that was throwing us off. I went to a breastfeeding group yesterday and had the opportunity to weigh her. Fully dressed (so subtract a couple ounces for clothing weight) she weighed... 12 pounds !!! Good grief! In the five weeks since her last doc. appointment she has gained over three pounds. One thing is for sure, I've going to develop buff arms before I know it!

She's given up on us. We're SO boring. That and she hasn't worn clothes since this morn. Just a diaper. She apparently thinks that's just fine today. And I'm going to say a small child running around in a diaper seems a lot more decent that a toddler running around in just undies. I guess we'll have to continue the MM bribery! PS - the kid's hair is getting crazy long!

Lame O

I was catching up on a couple of blogs I like to read when I suddenly felt convicted about the lack of posts on my own blog. Now, granted, most of the time I have more important things to do. Like shower, which doesn't happen often enough. Like chase a munchkin, or a cat, or loads of laundry, dishes and unfinished craft projects. Truth is, I often have ideas of things to blog about. Like the weather. The massive amounts of rain, wind and crazy flooding. Then I convince myself that it's "boring" and don't. Besides I could be eating fudge instead. And really, everyone should be eating fudge instead. Which is another idea... share my 2 minute fudge recipe with the world. I mean, the five people who sometimes read this blog when there are new posts and they remember to check it. But even then, if they made it, that would mean that the world would have five people that are that much happier.
